Gall's law

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked. A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work. You have to start over with a working simple system.

This quote is from his book: SYSTEMANTICS. THE SYSTEMS BIBLE

Based on this quote, my take on building a product is that we should build a simpler system and gain traction. Then, we should that traction to iterate to make the system more complex. I somewhat subscribe to this line of thinking. The main challenge is to identify the line of "simple".
